Material Culture\/Design<\/strong> involved 10 designers and 6 European schools of design that from November 2007 to summer 2008 worked with 5 eco-museums of the province of Turin characterized by industrial production related to local material of its area. This process enabled the germination of the culture of design on the material culture in each specific contest. During 2008, the year in which Turin was the World Capital of Design, had been shown these excellent and innovative products specially made by productive and cultural entities of the area. Raw materials, products, know how designed a new geography of the landscape of the province of Turin which from the dialog between material culture and an up-to-date creativity on the contemporary research implementing valuable knowledge for sustainable development.<br \/>\nIn November 2007 the teachers\/designers visited the eco-museums of Balme (water), Cambiano (clay), Prali (talcum), Ror\u00e0 (stone), Villar Pellice (felt), in order to work during 2007\/2008 with their students on these materials to re-interpret them. In spring\/summer students, after a stay in the provincial areas, developed their projects with the eco-museums which had been shown in the summer of 2008 in a touring exhibition at the provincial eco-museums.
